LIFE CHANGING COMMUNITY BETHESDA VISION STATEMENT “Give every man, woman and child the opportunity of understanding the gospel and to provide a church where they can grow in ministry for the glory of God.” “For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith and this not of yourselves it is a gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do”. Ephesians Ch 2 v 8-10 AT BETHESDA CHURCH – We believe that you will find the love of Christ amongst us and that you will only be a stranger to us once. We aim to be an inclusive, family friendly, church where ‘small people’ are especially loved and nurtured. Our premises are disability friendly and you are invited to join fully in our meetings and fellowship activities. We have a diverse range of backgrounds and occupations but share a common interest in studying the Holy Scriptures and seeking to live our lives in fulfilment of the teaching of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Our style of worship is informal, lively and God centred. Our Sunday evening meetings are particularly PRAISE focused. We believe in the encouragement of our members in the development and practice of individual spiritual gifting. ‘Breaking of Bread’ together is always a feature of our Sunday morning meetings and our table is open to all who claim JESUS as SAVIOUR. BETHESDA CHURCH – Is in affiliation with Assemblies of God in Great Britain and, Aston Churches Together, we are an independent church funded by the free-will giving of our members. PRAYER MEETINGS - Take place, in church, on MONDAYS of each week, between 6.30 am and 8.00 am. The first MONDAY of each month is given over to a day of PRAYER and FASTING, the church is additionally open 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm and 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. BIBLE STUDIES – take place, variously, in member’s homes through the week. Periodically, we come together for group studies in the church. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY – BETHESDA CHURCH offers THE MUSTARD SEEDS Sunday School during most Sunday morning Services, and several other groups and activities during most weeks of the year, many of which are available to the wider community, including ... PARENTS & TOTS on WEDNESDAYS, in church, 10.00 am to 11.30 am and 13.00 pm to 14.30 pm. CAMPAIGNERS (uniformed youth outreach) THURSDAY evenings, in church, 17.45 pm to 19.30 pm. BETHESDA works alongside the PAIS PROJECT engaging children in local schools with JESUS. Update description
